This can happen when Firefox is set up to not use a proxy.

To fix this:

  1. Start Firefox 
  2. Go to Preferences 
  3. Select Advanced, then Network 
  4. Click Settings 
  5. Select “Use system proxy settings” 
  6. Click OK 

This makes Firefox use the OS X System settings, which is what makes Replay Media Catcher work.
